MEET OUR PEOPLE

Kirk Manning

Each edition, we turn the spotlight on one of our colleagues to learn more about their work, passions, and perspectives.

Describe a normal day at work with 3 words

Busy, changing and exciting.

What are you most excited about the coming 6 months at work?

I’m most excited about continuing to develop and expand our shaped wire production, as well as driving investment of new production equipment forward. Both areas represent important growth opportunities, and I’m looking forward to seeing the progress and results of the work we’re putting in.

What do you think your colleagues value most about you professionally?

I believe my colleagues value my commitment, loyalty, and engagement. I always strive to be reliable and dedicated, and I take pride in being someone they can count on to stay focused on both our shared goals and the team’s success.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active by going for walks, following different sporting activities, and spending quality time with my dogs. These things help me recharge and keep a good balance between work and personal life.

What is most important for your work satisfaction?

For me, work satisfaction comes from having clear goals to strive for and the opportunity to work closely with customers to solve problems. I enjoy the challenge of finding solutions that make a real difference, and it’s rewarding to see positive outcomes from our collaboration.

If you could innovate without budget or technical constraints, what ‘impossible’ product would you create with our wire - and why?

If I were developing a new wire product, I’d want to invent a self-healing, ultra-light, high-strength steel wire that could repair microscopic fatigue cracks on its own and maintain its mechanical properties over decades of use.  It would be valuable extending the lifespan of critical components while reducing maintenance and material waste.

Staying close to our customers in an uncertain world

Staying close to our customers in an uncertain world

For us, being close to our customers is not just a principle – it’s a strategy. With operations across several regions worldwide, we share a common goal: working together for a better tomorrow. Each market comes with its own regulations, conditions, and demands. By ensuring that our products are adapted to local requirements and supported by teams with in-depth market knowledge, we create solutions that are both relevant and reliable.

In today’s geopolitical climate, uncertainty is a constant, including shifting trade relations and measures such as U.S. tariffs. In this environment, resilience and adaptability are crucial. Our global footprint, with local production capabilities, provides the flexibility needed to manage these challenges effectively and ensure we can continue to deliver - regardless of external circumstances.

Our site in South Bend, US, is living proof for how we continuously strive to break new grounds. Following the strategy to globally expand shaped wire products the site has expanded shape product portfolio and delivery forms. This journey will continue going forward. This way we can offer more sustainable production locally. Providing the same products from multiple sites also mitigates risks for our customers.

Your feedback helps us improve!

Your feedback helps us improve!

Our annual customer survey is still open, take the chance and make Your voice heard.
Input from our customers helps us identify where we can improve and how we can strengthen our partnership. Each year, Your feedback guides our development - highlighting what we do well and where we can do better. For example, last year’s results pointed to delivery precision as an area to focus on, and we are actively working to make meaningful improvements.

It only takes about 5 minutes, and your voice truly makes a difference. If you have not received an e-mail with a link, please contact your sales representative. Thank you for helping us get better.
