Wire technology: Oil tempering

Our oil tempering process ensures optimal mechanical properties for spring wire, enabling it to withstand demanding conditions in both forming operations and final applications. Applied after cold working, the process is carefully controlled to achieve the desired balance of strength, ductility, and fatigue resistance.

Wire technology: Cold drawing

Precision is at the heart of our cold drawing process. This technique refines the surface finish and ensures the dimensional accuracy of our wires. The result is a wire with a smooth finish, precise dimensions, and improved mechanical properties. By using in-house tool-making equipment we optimize performance in our production and live up to the high requirements of our customers.

Exciting, customers, colleagues

What are you most excited about the coming 6 months at work?

To continue our joint journey with our customers, to meet their demands and challenges as well as the opportunities in the best way considering the global uncertainty. I am also looking forward to the customer visits I’m planning and the company’s 120-year anniversary.

What do you think your colleagues value most about you professionally?

That I’m a dedicated team player, a reliable and committed person with a lot of experience thanks to my long service in the company. 

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I enjoy being out in nature, go jogging or mountain biking, in the wintertime skiing. Gardening is another passion and spending time with my beloved grandkids.

What is most important for your work satisfaction?

To be a part of a team that strives for the same goals. Another stimulating part of my daily work is to find solutions to different problems or tasks, close together with our customers or internally in the organization. My supportive colleagues are also a great joy.

If you could innovate without budget or technical constraints, what ‘impossible’ product would you create with our wire - and why? 

I would create a device that could ensure elimination of the CO2-emissions worldwide.

Between April 13–17 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the wire and cable industry returns to Düsseldorf.
